I’m back on the PC. Living life on a PowerBook 12″ was fun, but for some things, nothing beats a PC.
Allow me to introduce…
First, the case which holds everything - Antec P180, affectionately known as the refrigerator.
And my rig:
AMD Athlon 64×2 3800+
ASUS M2N-SLI AM2 motherboard
Antec NeoHE 430W power supply
2x Kingston 1GB RAM
ASUS GeForce 7600GS
320GB Seagate […]

It seems like yesterday that I packed my bags, said my goodbyes and left for Perth. But it’s been a year. So much has happened since then, and yet it also seems like nothing has changed. So much I’ve learnt, and yet so little I remember.
I miss Perth.
And I still haven’t processed the photos from […]

Here’s something I stumbled upon today, seeing how addictive it is to get card after card.
POSB GO!
And why would I want to get it? It just looks cool, that’s all. The design does look a lot better than the blue POSB ATM card, or even the orange POSB debit card.
Alas, no online transactions with this […]

The PowerBook is dead. Long live the PowerBook. Uh, the MacBook Pro, that is.

After much hype and fanboying over Apple’s wonderful Aperture…
I realize that I can’t use it on a PowerBook G4 12″.
Wonderful eh?
My next computer purchase will probably be an Intel Mac Mini (revision B of course), and then maybe Intel PowerBooks or PowerMacs. Until then, I suppose that Aperture’s just for me to drool over.

Normal alkaline batteries (well, fine, oxy-alkalines) are so expensive! At least, when they’re bought from a photo shop. $6.60 leh… Even more than my usual taxi rides.
I’m stocking up on them if I ever find a cheap source, which shouldn’t be that hard. No cheap normal alkalines for me. No expensive non-rechargeable lithiums either.
Then again, […]

*sees the new revision of the iPod*
*falls in love with it*
Sadly, with that white PSP, it means I need a white one to match. The black one is very, very hot though (just like the Nano).
And yes, I need something to store 60gb of music in (not that I have that much), so this goes […]

It’s not often that I get to play around with stuff. For me, playing around doesn’t mean games. That’s playing.
Some stuff just require the SSE3 extensions, which the old rig, with an Athlon XP, lacks.
Godzilla’s still an abomination, but bringing it home means I can fiddle with it. Hee.
I can’t wait for the Intel PowerMacs, […]
