I’m back on the PC. Living life on a PowerBook 12″ was fun, but for some things, nothing beats a PC.
Allow me to introduce…
First, the case which holds everything - Antec P180, affectionately known as the refrigerator.
And my rig:
- AMD Athlon 64×2 3800+
- ASUS M2N-SLI AM2 motherboard
- Antec NeoHE 430W power supply
- 2x Kingston 1GB RAM
- ASUS GeForce 7600GS
- 320GB Seagate 7200.10 hard disk
- TDK AID+1616NA DVD writer
- TDK CyClone 48/24/48B CD writer
- Sapphire Theatrix 550Pro TV tuner
It took me two days to fix up the rig, and three weeks to install the software. Yes, three weeks. And it’s still not done, but I was getting impatient.
I wanted to run everything in dual-mode - dual-core, dual-channel, SLI, RAID… Alas, I would require some serious sponsorship to make that happen.
Still, dual core, baby.
